Commercial Buildings and Bad Weather

If you own a commercial building or run a business, we would highly recommend making some form of plan in case you experience some severe weather. Having a plan can help you protect your business, your property, equipment but most importantly your employees and customers. Listed below are some suggestions for you to have in place-

> Take a moment to check your building, specifically for any cracks, discolouration or any loose trim or materials that could blow off and cause more damages.

> Check over your insurance policy and make sure to understand what is covered and what might not be, if you are unsure make sure to reach out to your insurance company and ask them for help.

> Compile together important numbers that maybe needed in an emergency situation; for example an electrician and plumber.

> Have a plan in place with your employees in case of an emergency so everyone knows what to do with out hesitation. This will ensure everyone is safe.
